3. Aromatic Biryani with Shahi Jeera & Elaichi | Traditional Indian Biryani
Recipe
Ingredients:
•
2 cups
Bumi
Spices Basmati Rice
•
1 lb mixed vegetables or chicken
•
1 tbsp ghee or oil
•
1 tsp
Bumi
Spices Shahi Jeera (Caraway Seeds)
•
2 Bumi
Spices Elaichi (Cardamom Pods)
•
1 cinnamon stick
•
2 cloves
•
1 onion (sliced)
•
1 tsp
Bumi
Spices Garam Masala
•
1/2 tsp
Bumi
Spices Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
•
1/2 cup yogurt
•
3 cups water or broth
•
Fresh coriander & mint for garnish
Instructions:
•
Wash and soak the Basmati rice for 30 minutes.
•
Heat ghee in a pan, add shahi jeera, elaichi, cinnamon, and cloves.
•
Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
•
Add vegetables or chicken, yogurt, and spices. Cook for 5 minutes.
•
Add soaked rice and water/broth. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
•
Garnish with fresh coriander and mint. Serve hot with raita.
